tried one of these and got absolutely 0 channels. would not pick up stations 20 miles away. YMMV obviously.

Just bought a new one from
Amazon
and got great results, including an ABC channel I've never been able to receive from a number of other antenna. The key is placement in your room. I tried this one in several locations before I found the sweet spot. I was expecting that placement against the window would get the best results but actually I got the worst results there, and the best results against the opposite wall. This anntenna has an 18 foot cable with it, so you've got the length to experiment. Usually the higher on the wall the better.

Life is about strife. You're not supposed to receive all the channels and those you do, aren't supposed to be crystal clear without stutter.

They're going to be lower resolution than your TV, **** you don't want to watch anyway, and your dog ate your sammich.

I bought 2 of these a few weeks back and have installed them in my office and my bedroom. In my bedroom, I pinned it to the top of the curtains, in the vlance so you cant see it. I pick up over 50 channels without any distortion or cutting out. In my office it's another story. Even though I have the antenna pointing the same direction as upstairs, I am missing some of my local channels until I rotate the antenna which results in loosing some of the channels I was getting. Overall I think this is a great product and its super slim design allows it to be mounted in places not possible with the larger options.
